QuarkXPress allows you to down-save or down-size only one version prior to the existing version of QuarkXPress used to open the document. Such as, QuarkXPress 9 will allow to down-save or sown-size to QuarkXPress 8, hence similarly QuarkXPress 8 will allow to down-save or down-size to QuarkXPress 7 only.



Please follow the below steps to down-save or down-size a QuarkXPress 9 file to QuarkXPress 8:










  2. Navigate to File > Export > Layouts as Project.

  3. From the Version drop-down menu, select 8.0.

  4. Click OK
