QuarkXPress 7 and 8 include a feature to run text around all sides of an item, but this value is not set for the Picture Box that the text is running around. Instead, the control for this becomes active when you select the text box that contains the text that you want to run around all sides of the Picture box. Once you do this, the controls for running text around all sides of an object become available. The control for this can be found in the Text tab of the Item Modify dialog (Item > Modify) or in the Text tab of the Measurements palette.
Follow these steps to run text around all sides of a Picture Box:
- Select the text box that contains the text that you want run around the picture.
- In the Text tab of the Modify dialog (Item > Modify), select the check-box for Run Text Around All Sides or select the corresponding check-box located in the Text tab of the Measurements palette.
If you have selected the correct box, your text will run around the object as pictured below.
