A validation code is NOT required for an Evaluation copy. A validation code is an alpha-numeric number which is required to install your Full or upgrade product. This is one of the steps during installation. For installation help visit: http://www.quark.com/support/installation

Where to find your Validation Code?

Method 1: From the DVD Box

For Full Version

  1. Open the DVD Case/Box.
  2. Please find the Validation code printed on the installation card inside.

For Upgrade Version

  1. Visit online store
  2. Click “Obtain validation code here” under Installation or click 'Retrieve Validation Code'
  3. Enter the New Serial number of QuarkXPress & click Continue.
  4. In case of an upgrade only, it will prompt for active base serial number.

Note: A base serial number is the old active product serial number that you already own and wish to upgrade to a higher version. Please note, your base serial number will be voided once you upgrade to the newer product version (not applicable on Full Product purchase).

  1. Enter the previous or base version serial number & click Continue.
  2. Enter the Validation Code in the empty boxes on the installer window.

Method 2: From Quark Website (Online)

  1. Visit online store
  2. Click “Obtain validation code here” under Installation or click 'Retrieve Validation Code'
  3. Enter the New Serial number of QuarkXPress & click Continue.
  4. In case of an upgrade only, it will prompt for active base serial number.
