Background: When the primary monitor resolution is less than external monitor, this problem occurs. The issue can be resolved by making the screen resolution same for both the monitors. It happens only on external monitor while primary monitor works fine.
- To change the screen resolution on MAC:
Navigate to System Preferences >> Displays>>Select Scaled and then select a resolution.
2. To change the screen resolution on Windows 8 and 7 :
Right click anywhere on the desktop. Select 'Screen resolution' from the drop-down menu.
3. To change the screen resolution on Windows Vista :
i. Right-click anywhere on the desktop.
ii. Choose Personalize from the bottom of the menu.
iii. Click on Display Settings at the bottom of the Personalization window.
iv. This will open the Display Settings window.
v. Move the Resolution slider to change your resolution.
vi. Click OK to change the resolution.
OR
vii. Go to Control Panel
viii. Click on Appearance and personalization
ix. Under Personalization; Select Adjust screen resolution
x. Under Display Settings, Move the slider to adjust the Resolution
4. To change the screen resolution on Windows XP :
i. Right-click anywhere on the desktop.
ii. Select Properties from the bottom of the menu.
iii. This will open the Display Properties window.
iv. By default, the window should be displaying the “Settings” tab.
v. Select it if a different tab opens.
vi. Use the slider to adjust your resolution.
vii. Click Apply to test your new settings. Click OK to close the Display Properties window.
viii. Your new resolution will be saved.
